I, like the rest of the world, have fallen head over heels for modern Swedish design. Or, to speak more broadly, Scandinavian design – Finland is the Design Capital of the world for 2012.
Swedish design has won hearts across the board – Ikea in our homes, Kikki K in our offices, Acne and Cheap Monday in our wardrobes. Style mavens like Victoria Tornegren, Kling and Myf blomqvist light up our laptop screens as we hungrily take note of their simple sartorial successes.
Modern Swedish design celebrates new ideas and worships aesthetically pleasing functionality. After all, isn’t it true design about the fusion of beauty and function?
